THE DOLLMAKER

Darian and Krista are young married couple, they have the only child they love, Erwin.  Erwin is a cheerful, funny and adorable toddler, his presence completes the happiness of this family. Krista loves her child so much, she always pays attention to the details for her children's needs. Darian is a hard worker and responsible for her family, he is also a loving and caring of his family. They love and protect each other, therefore they are the perfect family.

However ,no one knows and everything can change.

The beautiful sky and fresh air starting this morning, as usual, Krista cooking for the breakfast together. afterwards Darian went to the office and Krista went to kindergarten with Erwin. All activities run smoothly without any obstacles.

He was surprised because who picked up a nurse's phone, finally he immediately rushed to the hospital.

Everyone cried attending the funeral, Darian could not believe all this had happened too fast. After the funeral he returned to the hospital to visit his wife who was still unconscious, he was confused about how to say to his wife for what happened to Erwin.

One day after Krista recovered, he drove his wife to her son's grave, Krista cried hysterically to see her buried child. She blamed hersel for Erwin’s death.

Since Erwin's death she has always been seclude and daydreaming, still clearly pictured in her mind when the accident happened. She has not been willing to lose Erwin. Day by day Krista the stress attacked her, her life became a mess because she could not forget the accident. Darian was very worried about Krista's condition, she was confused about what she should do too.

One day in the office when Darian was daydreaming, his friend approached him then Darian told him about his wife's condition, then this friend suddenly whispered something to him, he asked Darian and Krista tto meet with the suggested dollmaker. At first he wondered why he had to go there, whereas he only wanted his wife to recover instead of buying a doll.

 The next day.

The address given by Darian’s friend bring them to an old house with a rather gloomy atmosphere. Their arrival was welcomed by a middle-aged man also the doll maker itself.

“I will make a doll so that your kids can comeback” said the dollmaker

I’ll need a set of clothes he wore at least once, don’t wash it, I’ll also need a lock of hair and a valuation possession of his”.

He put the clothes on the baby doll then closed the coffin while spelling the mantra.

“Tadaaa.. take a look, tell me what you think, tell me it’s a great” the dollmaker said.

“I think it’s just a stupid doll,an overpriced stupid doll” said Darian suddenly

Krista was confused and disgusted seeing the doll firstly because it looked hideous and filled with stitches, however her curiosity kept her to close the baby doll. The dollmaker asked her to take it, suddenly the doll turns into an adorable baby Erwin.

“It’s my baby?” said Krista “ I miss you so much”

Krista was very surprised then she hugged the baby doll Erwin tightly and weeping tears.

“Go ahead, buddy. Hold the stupid overpriced doll’s hand” said the dollmaker.

Darian come to his wife then, his vision of baby doll Erwin was still a doll, but when he touched the baby's hand it turned into an adorable baby Erwin immediately.

“Put that thing down Krista, let’s take a moment and think this through.” said Darian nervously.

Krista did not listen her husband advice then she paid the dollmaker immediately.

The dollmaker giving them the rules that have to obey about the baby doll Erwin. The first the baby doll Erwin cannot leave the house, because the energy is only in the house, when they bring him go out he is just a doll then. The second, the dollmaker give them an hourglass to warn that they must go back to the coffin a whole day before they can take him out again. The dollmaker tell to Darian, if they ignore the rules he will start losing it. Really losing it. He tell to Darian if any of this happens that is not his responsibility because he have been warned.

The presence of a baby doll makes Krista happy again, her life returns to be normal, she always spend a lot time with the babydoll. At first Darian happy with the presence of babydoll , however after a few months later Krista appearing her strange behavior such as she doesn’t going out, she doesn’t cleaning the house and she doesn’t cooking for Darian. She only waste the time with the babydoll Erwin. She doesn’t go out anymore because the rules that babydoll just a doll when he leave the house, Krista won’t see the babydoll tobe a doll therefore she just playing with him in the home.

Someday when he woke up in the morning he saw Krista feeding the meal for the baby doll in the kitchen, he calls her,

“Morning darling” said Darian to krista

Krista is busy feeding the meal to the babydoll, he look at the kitchen is very mess. She did not reply her husband. He sit down beside in front of her, he try again to bring her having conversation.

“You up all night with him again?” asked Darian. “I was just remembering what I said to you after the funeral, I told to you that life can be a cruel bitch sometimes” (he said this with a cry little).

Darian only realized that Krista had ignored the second rule, she did not put the babydoll to the coffin before she take again. Krista is really to be crazy of her babydoll, she can not moving on from Erwin. Krista is really crazy, she doesn't accept that Darian thinks Erwin is dead. Darian is getting emotion, she dragged Krista out of the house to prove  that the babydoll was not Erwin, it was just a doll.

Darian dragged out Krista “What are you doing darian?” asked her.

“Taking you outside so you can see what you really have in your hands” Darian answer.

“ This is my fault for letting…..” he did not continue his word because he was shocking to see his wife turned to be a doll, she was losing it then he don’t know what to do.

He hide the babydoll that she just could not take it, however she slit her wrist because she can not live without the babydoll.

Darian just remember the words “losing it” that the dollmaker ever said is losing his wife also it does not the responsibility of the dollmaker, so then Darian was so sad. He just want his wife back. He need she is back.

He think to do the same ritual to bring her back, the same ritual with the babydoll.

I’ll need a set of clothes she wore at least once, don’t wash them!

I’ll also need a lock of hair

And a valuable possession of her

Just because her possessions is the babydoll Erwin so then, he sews the hands of Krista and the babydoll. Finally they live together with the babydoll as long as they life.
